 N.B.  Discrepancies

In Union-Castle at War 1914-1919 Mr. Hamilton is given the initials J.A.   A second more serious difference is the date of death.  In the Roll of Honour it states

Hamilton, J.A   A.B. S.S. "Alnwick Castle"   Lost when ship was torpedoed.

The "Alnwick Castle" was sunk on 19th March 1917.   There are no other close matches with the Commonwealth War Graves Comission..
