thanks for your email. I could send you a photograph if you think
that would
help with recognition? Not by email, I'm not that clever I'm afraid,
so
would need your address.
Also I failed to mention that John's wife, known as Rita, was a
nurse on the
ships with John until the rules changed and spouse's couldn't work
on the
boats together. Could send a photo of them both?
I phoned Kew and National Archives and they politely said there
wasn't much
chance!
